The box covers are the flat covers that often sit high up on walls or ceilings. They hide wires that run inside the wall/ceiling. Sometimes they are hidden behind wallpaper or painted over. If they have been sitting for a long time, they are probably nicotine-stained. For most people, they are something you don't see or take for granted, but with our El-covers you turn this around and get a real "conversation piece"!

The electric caps are designed and sculpted digitally. Some are scanned real objects. We 3D print the electric caps in plastic and sand them in several steps before priming and painting the caps with varnish. It has become much more of a craft than we thought!

The plastic has a certain durability and thinner parts can withstand bending a few percent, but if you drop the electric caps, they can break. Some motifs are more fragile than others. We see the caps more like plastic porcelain sculptures that are handled as works of art!

The electrical covers are mounted with a magnetic attachment to the existing box covers. The 3M part that is attached to the magnet upon delivery is removed and pressed onto the box cover for 10 seconds (centered). Then just install the electrical cover! Clean the existing box cover first so it has a good attachment surface!

When you put the electric lid on, you should hear a metallic click when the magnet meets the metal plate. This will tell you that there is no gap so that the magnet will eventually attract the metal plate.

The can lids are sometimes screwed on a little too tightly and bulge in the middle. In that case, you should loosen the screws a little.

There are a number of different box covers with different thicknesses and often the electrical cover ends up a few millimeters out from the wall, but that's the point because then the magnet meets the metal plate that sits on the box cover and the magnet does not risk attracting the metal plate over time.

The electric covers are intended for indoor use, hanging on walls and ceilings in a dry environment.

We need about 1-5 working days to get the lids shipped after the order has been placed. We use Postnord and the shipping is 49 SEK regardless of the number of electric lids ordered.

If you are not satisfied with the caps, you can email info@ellock.se and we will arrange a refund.

If the lid breaks during transport, we will send you a new one!

If an electrical cover falls down after it has been installed because the plate has not been attached properly or the box cover has not been cleaned, or you accidentally bump into it, we can replace it.

If you experiment with attaching the electrical covers in places other than a box cover, it is the customer's responsibility. The adhesive is strong and may leave marks if the metal plate is removed!
